How does the affiliate opportunity work?
A person interested in becoming an affiliated marketing representative with our company must complete and submit our easy online registration. Upon approval of this registration, a marketing representative is assigned a unique, “personal marketing code number”. This number is used to track their individual sales in a manner further explained below.
How does a representative generate sales?
A marketing representative will approach merchants in person or by telephone and explain the unique opportunity and economical advantages of advertising their coupon offers on our website for only $109 per year. At that time, the representative will leave a GreatDealsInMyCity.com® postcard with the merchant. These full color postcards highlight key selling points and advantages of this type of coupon advertising. In addition, the postcard will also state that the merchant will receive a $10 discount if they use the “discount code” which is clearly written on the back side of the postcard. The “discount code” is also the personal marketing representative’s “personal marketing code number”. The code number is also printed on all marketing representative’s business cards. Tracking of commissions is further explained below.
How does a marketing representative earn commissions?
By clicking the “Advertise” link on our website home page, merchants are able to sign up to advertise their coupons using our simple online registration process. We offer 1, 2 & 3 year subscriptions. During this registration process, merchants are prompted to use the “discount code” listed on the either the postcard or marketing representatives’’ business card in order to receive a $10 discount off their selected subscription. By using this code number, the merchant will receive $10 off their subscription package and the marketing representative will earn the following:
1 Year Subscription - $40 Commission
2 Year Subscription - $70 Commission
3 Year Subscription - $90 Commission
By using the discount code, a merchant will always receive a one-time $10 discount, no matter what subscription package they choose. Although we have made this self registration process extremely simple, as an option and for added convenience, a marketing representative may assist a merchant in their registration process if requested.
Does a marketing representative get paid commission if a merchant renews their annual advertising subscription?
Yes! Each time one of a marketing representative’s signed merchants renews their annual advertising subscription, the marketing representative will automatically receive another $40, $70 or $90 commission, depending on which renewal subscription package is selected by the merchant. In order for a marketing representative to receive renewal commissions however, they must be an “active” marketing representative. Marketing representatives are considered “active” as long as they have generated at least (1) new merchant sale in the last (30) days.
How does the marketing representative track their sales?
Marketing representatives are able to utilize the “Authorized Access” link located on the bottom left of our website home page. From this area marketing representatives are able to login and view sales that have been generated with their personal code number.
When and how does the marketing representative get paid?
Commissions are paid once a month via PayPal. On the 1st day of each month a marketing representative will receive an email notice from PayPal indicating their commissions have been deposted into their PayPal account. If they do not have a PayPal account, they will be instructed on how to set up this free account. Once commissions are deposited into a PayPal account, Paypal offers an easy option of transferring this money to the marketing representative’s personal bank account free of charge. This is the most secure and efficient way of for us to pay our marketing representatives. Due to the large number of affiliates we pay on a monthly basis, we are unable to mail commission checks.
Where do I obtain marketing materials?
Upon registration approval, every affiliate is initially supplied with (100) marketing postcards at no cost. Every calendar month thereafter, affiliates will receive (125) postcards for 5- 9 sales generated in a calendar month and (250) postcards for 10+ sales. All postcards are mailed at the beginning of each month. In addition, (250) personalized business cards are also provided free of charge and are automatically printed & shipped after a representative’s first (3) generated sales. All items ordered are shipped directly to the representative’s mailing address.
Are there costs involved to become a marketing representative?
Upon approval of your affiliate registration, we require a one time processing fee of $15. This fee is required to cover the cost of your initial marketing kit (shipping and handling included) and is less than the commission you will earn on your first merchant subscription sale. Upon registration approval, you will receive a secure link by email that will allow you to pay this fee by credit card. Upon receipt of your $15 fee, your affiliate account will be activated and your initial marketing kit will be mailed to you by US Priority mail. Once again, this payment is NOT required upon your initial registration.
Are there minimum monthly sales requirements?
Although there are no minimum monthly sales requirements, in order to be considered an “active” marketing representative, they must produce at least (1) sale within any (90) day period. In addition and as stated prior, in order for a marketing representative to receive “renewal commissions” they must have produced at least one sale within (30) days prior to the renewal commission being generated.
Will I be considered an employee of the company?
No. All marketing representatives are considered independent contractors. They will receive a 1099 for all commissions they earn each year and will be responsible for paying any applicable state and federal income taxes.
Are there additional marketing opportunities available?
